Our alumni
Alumni Network
The Waterbury Legacy lives far beyond the walls of the Yeshiva, and well beyond the years spent learning there. Waterbury’s alumni have grown substantially over the years, and have formed communities of their own where they continue to nurture the growth that began in Yeshiva and keep close bonds. We are proud that many of the alumni have assumed prominent positions in both harbotzas Torah and community involvement. The Rosh HaYeshiva שליט״א ,has never distinguished between current talmidim and alumni. Once someone becomes a talmid of Waterbury, he remains a talmid for life. To that end, the Rosh Hayeshiva instituted a program of shiurim and events to keep the bond with all talmidim strong and vibrant. Alumni living in the NY Metro area have regular in person shiurim as well as shiurim given by the Rosh Yeshiva online to alumni in communities outside of the NY Metro area. The Waterbury Alumni Community also has a sizeable concentration in Eretz Yisroel. During the course of the year, the Rosh HaYeshiva and some of the rebbeim visit with these talmidim and marvel at the continued growth and ruach of “Waterbury East.” Our alumni have also created a network across the United States and beyond assisting each other with jobs and business opportunities. Many alumni have assumed prominent positions locally: Within the Yeshiva K’tana, Mesivta, Beis Medrash, and Shul, as well as behind the scenes of vital community functions. Following a student’s growth in Yeshiva, and seeing him blossom into a mature, confident, growing member of his community is a source of pride and joy to all those that contributed to this process. It is safe to say that the trademark ruach of Yeshiva Ateres Shmuel of Waterbury leaves a lifelong impact on each and every talmid.
